Bade Miyan Chote Miyan movie review
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a thrilling ride right from the word go. It starts with a massive chase sequence where an Army convoy is ambushed. Prithviraj Sukumaran makes an entry and even though he has a mask on, his voice and threatening dialogues are enough to give you the chills. Akshay and Tiger are two soldiers who have been court marshalled and the first part is spent from one mission to another to establish how good they are as soldiers. Thus obviously showcasing the reason why they need to be brought back on this mission. Tiger will surprise you with his comedy, while Akshay takes on a more ‘serious soldier’ type demeanor. Thankfully, while there are two big ticket leading men, the female lead Manushi Chillar also has a substantial role to play. But the surprise package is Sonakshi Sinha’s cameo. She will bring in the much needed curiosity around what will happen next to this action-thriller. While 80 per cent of the first half is chase sequences and mind boggling stunts, an unexpected twist comes right before the interval when Prithviraj reveals his identity and his two guards, who have an unimaginable connection with Tiger and Akshay. You would be left waiting eagerly for the interval get over, as the second half may reveal the real story and agenda of Kabir (Prithviraj). The camaraderie between the two main leads is bang on and the movie’s scale makes it the perfect big screen experience.

The movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan boasts of real, raw action, done using real equipment. The film’s crew shot some extensive song and action sequences in Jordan. While the natural beauty of Petra and Wadi Rum were captured in the songs, the action was shot using real ammunition with the help of the Army there, all made possible due to Vashu Bhagnani’s vision, Jackky Bhagnani’s innovative streak and the film studios in Jordan, Olivewood. And when it is Ali helming the project, one can be sure to get a full paisa vasool experience.
