Allu Arjun’s film is not just fire, but a ‘wildfire’

‘Flower nahin, fire hai main’ — is a passe, for this magnanimous line is replaced by yet another iconic statement – ‘Fire samjhe kya, wildfire hai main’ in Pushpa 2: The Rule.
This kind of sets the narrative since the start. Pushpa 2: The Rule is going to be bigger, better and grander than its prequel.
Allu Arjun, who won the National Award for his portrayal of Pushpa Raj, returns to the screen with unmatched intensity. Pushpa 2 begins with Pushpa Raj fighting smugglers. He, of course, is happily married and fully equipped to face his adversary, Bhanwar Singh Shekawat (Fahadh Faasil).
Minister Siddapa (Rao Ramesh) trusts Pushpa Raj and helps him smuggle red sandalwood. Instead of one villain, Pushpa this time faces multiple foes. However, as one would expect in movies like this one, Pushpa always fights the bad guys single-handedly.
Pushpa: The Rise was one of the highest earning movies of the year it released in. So the sequel was expected to bring more moolah to the ticket windows. And rightly so, the franchise is set to mint money from box office and TV and digital rights sales — courtesy its high-octane action and larger-than-life narrative.
Will Allu Arjun sweep a National Award for his performance in this film as well? High possibility.
Fahadh Faasil has a lot more to do in Pushpa The Rule than he did in the prequel. Rashmika is a delight to watch.
The songs and lyrics could have been better. The direction and cinematography are, however, the scoring points of the movie.

There’s another high-point of the film we did not fail to notice – the subtle brand partnerships incorporated into the grandeur of Pushpa Raj.
The films interweaves many brand partnerships with great equanimity. It so happens that the protagonist picks a deal in the Maldives — the biggest heist of 2000 tonne of sandalwood. There is a smooth partnership of Greenply into the narrative. This feels natural and seamlessly fits into the story. It reinforces Pushpa’s empire — rooted in sandalwood smuggling, also symbolising strength, resilience, and an unbreakable will. These traits are rightfully embodied by Greenply’s strength and durability. This integration doesn’t just blend with the narrative; it subtly enhances the core storyline.
