Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child, a baby daughter, in January last year via surrogacy. The couple named her Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. In a new interview, Priyanka talked about Malti Marie’s premature birth and her tough time when she thought she would lose her.
Malti Marie was in the NICU for 100 days before Priyanka and Nick could bring her home. During her recent interaction, Priyanka said that she was not able to celebrate her first Mother’s Day after Malti’s arrival because she has not been a mom long enough.

She further said that Malti got her wrapped around her finger and she doesn’t even know how she would be able to discipline her because she doesn’t have it in her.

“I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything and I just want to see her happy. I want her to be the happiest. She’s a super smiley, happy baby, and that’s all my goal is—to see her joyous. Every time she smiles, it lights up my world, and that’s all I want to do,” she added.

Meanwhile, Priyanka is currently gearing up for the release of The Russo Brothers upcoming series Citadel. The 6-episode series will premiere the first two episodes on April 28 followed by one episode launching weekly through May 26. It recently had its world premiere in London.
